Shoring Post Rental

The “bones” of the shoring scaffold are the shoring posts. These need to be extremely durable and strong to support the heavy loads that the shoring scaffold is meant to withstand. These posts come in a range of sizes, are easily adjustable, and include two variations.

Galvanized Shoring Posts

Galvanized heavy-duty steel posts are made for jobs requiring extra strength and durability and are rated up to 6,000 lbs. (5,000 lbs. if height exceeds 10’).

Advantages: The galvanized coating offers excellent resistance to corrosion and wear, making these posts ideal for heavy-duty use in challenging environments. Their high load capacity guarantees reliable performance even under significant stress.

Electroplated Shoring Posts

Electroplated steel shoring posts are designed with extra corrosion-resistance for jobs involving corrosive chemicals or for weather resistance.

Advantages: The electroplated finish provides powerful protection against rust and chemical damage, extending the lifespan of the posts in environments where moisture or chemicals are a concern. These posts are perfect for maintaining structural integrity in adverse conditions.

Note: Capacity for post shoring includes a 3 to 1 safety factor.

Choosing the Right Shoring Post

Consider the following factors when choosing between galvanized and electroplated shoring posts:

Load Capacity

  • Galvanized Shoring Posts: Ideal for heavy-duty applications and demanding projects.
  • Electroplated Shoring Posts: While designed for lighter to moderate loads, these posts offer corrosion resistance and are suitable for less extreme weight requirements.

Environmental Conditions

  • Galvanized Shoring Posts: With their galvanized coating, these posts are durable and resistant to rust and wear, making them suitable for general construction environments.
  • Electroplated Shoring Posts: Designed with extra corrosion resistance, these posts are best suited for environments where exposure to corrosive chemicals or harsh weather conditions is a risk.
